Module 6 – Parents and going home

During this talk, the presenters will educate the delegates on the rollercoaster journey that parents of preterm infants go through by first experiencing an unexpected preterm delivery and secondly the emotional NICU stay. This will help the delegates better manage the emotions that parents go through.  The second part of this talk discusses the discharge journey and the vital follow-up care that a preterm would need from the relevant health care professionals.
